LET'S TALK!

Personalized help, right here right now!

After I failed my second glucose tolerance test, I sat in my doctor’s office, a little stunned. The results surprised me, and I suddenly felt overwhelmed by a pregnancy complication I hadn’t anticipated, and now knew I needed to learn all about, and fast.

YUP, THAT SOUNDS LIKE ME

LET ME GUESS...

Your doctor wrote you a prescription for a glucose monitor, and advised you speak with a dietitian. These are import first steps, but you still had a lot of questions.

Some of my questions included:

  • Where do I find a dietitian who is covered by my insurance? Is there a difference between a dietician and a nutritionist?
  • How does gestational diabetes differ from type 1 and type 2 diabetes? Are there dietitians who specialize in working with pregnant women dealing with GD?
  • How do I use my new glucose monitor? What is the most affordable way to make sure I have enough test strips?
  • How do I need to change my diet, in broad strokes?
  • More practically, how will I eat on the go? Feed my family? Handle pregnancy nausea?
  • What can I eat for dinner? At my baby shower? Over Thanksgiving?

YOU. CAN. DO. THIS.

Over the course of my GD experience, I dove into all these questions head first. I used my background as a professional recipe developer to write recipes that were both safe AND delicious, even within the strict guidelines of my carb tolerance.

Me! I'm Cristina

WRITER, RECIPE DEVELOPER, COOK
MOM TO A ONE YEAR OLD HENRI

GD was a really difficult experience for me. My dietary choices were extremely limited, and I was constantly worried I was messing up. But during the process, I DID manage to create recipes that my husband also found delicious, and that made me feel a little happier and more in control.

I studied English Literature and Creative Writing as an undergraduate. Over the next decade, I earned an MFA in Fiction Writing, attended cooking school at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and studied Interior Design at Parsons.

Food shouldn't feel like a punishment; it should be a joy! If I can make your GD journey smoother and less confusing, I will have succeeded.

While I am building out the recipe-focused, member website, our phone call will include a personalized follow up: an individualized mini cookbook, featuring ten recipes specific to your needs and preferences, based on what we’ve discussed during our call.

Let's really fast-track your success!
  • DO YOU NEED --> a little chocolate in your life?
  • DO YOU NEED --> a game plan for holiday get togethers and celebrations?
  • DO YOU NEED --> ideas for weeknight meals that can be prepped ahead / your whole family will enjoy?

Whatever it is, I will build you your own recipe collection!

I'm ready to talk!
