Let's face it....pregnancy isn't a walk in the park, even before the scary, unwelcome surprise of a GD diagnosis. 
When I had GD, identifying help felt like searching blindly in the dark. I scoured the internet for a reliable, all-in-one resource, but came up empty. 
 
I made it my mission to create the resource I needed, but couldn’t find. My goal is to make your experience easier, and more straightforward, than mine was.

HI, I'M CRISTINA! I was a professional recipe developer for more than a decade. (My work appeared in the publications below, among others.) I'm also a mom who had gestational diabetes. Now, I guide women through their GD journeys (and beyond) with recipes, videos, fact sheets, researched-for-you resources, and more.

If you’re like me, you’ve googled everything from “How do I use a glucose meter!?” to “Does pricking my finger hurt?” When I searched, I found plenty of broad-stokes medical websites, but found NO resources written from the perspective of someone who’d actually experienced GD themselves.

After months of trial and error—the easiest way to prick my finger, the best way to record my numbers, how not to waste test strips—I set about creating a resource that combines research and science with the personal tone and experience of someone who’s walked in your shoes. I combined all the information I wish someone had offered me.
